The study was carried out on Aviación Avenue - Huanchaquito Bajo, district of Huanchaco - La Libertad, it was a descriptive - applied level investigation. The objective was to carry out the structural design of the pavement for Av. Aviación, for which the studies and data collection corresponding to the study area were taken into account. We proceeded to design a flexible pavement and a rigid pavement; For the structural design of both pavements, the AASHTO 93 methodology was used, which is the most appropriate to the design parameters of the study area. The studies were of a basic engineering nature as a traffic analysis study, with the purpose of obtaining the number of repetitions of equivalent axes for the flexible pavement which is 3'467,016.95 as well as for the rigid pavement which is 3'559,467.825. ; soil mechanics study to determine the type of soil, which is poorly sandy with silt and gravel of firm, semi-dry consistency, with zero plasticity with a CBR of 10.45%; all this to be able to carry out an adequate structural design of pavement. The results were obtained for an asphalt layer of 7.5 cm, with a base of 20 cm and a sub-base of 20 cm, with a cost of one million two hundred and twenty-five thousand and eighty-four with 77/100 soles (S/1'225,084.77) For the design of the flexible pavement and for the structural design of the rigid pavement, it is a 20 cm concrete slab with a concrete design of f'c = 280kg/cm2 and a base of 15 cm, with a cost of one million seven hundred and seventy thousand. eight hundred forty-six with 77/100 soles (S/ 1'770,846.77). Having as a conclusion that the flexible pavement designed is the most suitable for Aviation Avenue because its cost is 31% lower than that of rigid pavement.
