To determine the self-report of periodontal disease in older adults from a Comprehensive Care Center. Trujillo. 2022. Materials and Methods: The study was observational, cross-sectional. 220 older adults from the Integral Center for the Elderly were evaluated. Trujillo. From March 2022 to July 2022, the data collection instrument was a virtual questionnaire, previously validated with Aiken's V coefficient with a value of 0.989 and reliability through a pilot test, obtaining the KR-20 index of 0.717. . Results: 26.82% (59) of the older adults perceive periodontal disease while 73.18% do not self-perceive it; 26.50% of women self-perceive their periodontal health and 30% in men; adults older than 81 years had a higher percentage of self-perception with 44.74%; and those with cardiovascular disease had a higher percentage of self-perception with 40.74%. Conclusion: There was a large majority of older adults who did not self-perceive periodontal disease, there being no difference between men and women, as well as the older they are, the greater the self-perception of said disease.
