Objective: To determine the characteristics of firearm projectile injuries at Head and Neck level, in Catacaos in 2017-2018 Material and Methods: In the non-experimental, observational, cross-sectional study, we selected the legal medical certificates and necropsy protocols of patients who come to the Medical Legal Division of Catacaos, corresponding to 2551 cases. Of which 75 met the inclusion criteria of this work Results: It was found that entry lesions due to FAP occur mainly at the level of the upper jaw with 22.7%, followed, with respect to that of the exit orifice, the most frequent location is at the neck with 37.3% and in the head in the occipital area 20%. Regarding the shape of the lesions of the entrance orifice, the rounded shape with 69.3% predominated and in the exit orifice the stellate shape with 58.7%. The presence of tattoo was seen in 26.7% while not appreciated by 64% Conclusions The characteristics of firearm projectile injuries at Head and Neck level, in CATACAOS in 2017-2018, occur in the upper Maxilla in 22.7%, being more in patients alive in 34% of the cases.
