Objective: To determine the Cariogenic Food Consumption in children of two Early Childhood Educational Institutions in Times of Covid 19-Trujillo. Materials and Method: A prospective, cross-sectional, descriptive and observational study was carried out, where 228 children from 3 to 5 years of age of both sexes from two Educational Institutions “81026 Andrés Avelino Cáceres” and “José Antonio Encinas” participated. To determine the Cariogenic Food Consumption, a virtual survey of the children's parents was used. On the other hand, with the cariogenic food consumption frequency questionnaire, the cariogenic risk of each child was determined, frequency distribution tables were used, as well as appropriate graphics to present the results of the research, the independence test was used and Chi square criterion, thus considering a significance level of 0.05. Results: According to the consumption of cariogenic foods, it was obtained that 61% presented a moderate cariogenic risk, 23% high and 16% low. Cariogenic consumption by sex was moderate, with 32% in men and 29% in women. The cariogenic consumption by age was that all ages are at moderate risk, with 16% at 3 years, 25% at 4 years and 20% at 5 years. Conclusions: The consumption of cariogenic foods in the two educational institutions was moderate, with a predominance of males. Finally, it is concluded that all ages have a moderate risk.
