The recent study was carried out in order to explain the trends of sugary drinks and their impact on the consumption of young people in the city of Talara, 2020. The research problem was based on the following question: ¿What are the trends in sugary drinks and their impact on the consumption of young people in the city of Talara, 2020?; whose hypothesis was: The trends of sugary drinks directly impact the consumption of young people in the city of Talara, 2020; Highlighting as study variables: Independent variable (V1) Trends in sugary drinks and Dependent variable (V2) Consumption. The design of this research was considered as explanatory of crosssection. Whose sample obtained was conformed by sixty-seven young people, where the survey technique, documentary and statistical studies were used for the collection and processing of data. Result and conclusion: The research allowed us to explain the trends of sugary drinks and their impact on the consumption of young people in the city of Talara, where the majority have a high impact due to the trends of sugary drinks, since they believed that while companies cover their demands regarding the innovation of the presentation and natural flavors, its consumption will be high; while others affirm that their inclination for new trends is regular and therefore their frequency of consumption is not constant, and will depend on the reaction when trying new products. Likewise, consumers take into account the risks involved in consuming these drinks in excess and therefore their sales have decreased.
