autodenominan indígenas, manteniendo rasgos distintivos de sus comunidades;
“This research seeks to solve one of the main problems of the department of Madre de Dios, which is the lack of Cultural Centers that reinforce the identity of the population and integrate the Indigenous Peoples. At present, the native peoples have been lost little by little and with them traditions, dialects, customs and important cultures for the region; being able to maintain their way of life in their natural habitat manifests the historical identity of the place, that is why a Cultural Center for Indigenous Peoples is developed in the city of Puerto Maldonado, district of Tambopata in a peri-urban land that links the urban area with the rural area through the Interoceanic South Road. This location allows interconnecting the cultural activities found in the region, however the identified infrastructures in which they are currently developed are in negative conditions and in improvised environments. A large number of people in the Madre de Dios region still call themselves indigenous, maintaining distinctive features of their communities; the idea of generating a cultural center and the reason for proposing this facility is to function as an important architectural landmark that brings together the indigenous and non-indigenous population, reinforces identity, provides knowledge of the culture, shows the importance of its preservation and relates to nature. The interior tour allows the dissemination of their culture through an interconnection of flexible environments that enhance the development of educational, experiential and recreational activities such as native art, narrative and cosmovision and cultural esplanades that end in public-amazonic spaces integrating the landscape with the tours inside and outside the equipment, perceiving the feeling of being inside the native communities.
