In this present investigation work it has the purpose of presenting an indicator of superficial condition of the Pavement of the av. Ricardo Palma since it is one of the main avenue of the city of Trujillo, so that the gradation or condition can be demonstrated by applying a method called PCI for its acronym in English Pavement Condition Index. This method focuses on the structural part of the pavement quantifying the state of conservation, it is a complete and precise method that requires visual inspection, all this to be able to intervene in its treatment or repair. When executing this method on a flexible pavement such as Ricardo Palma Avenue, it was taken into account that it consists of two lanes of different directions with a width of 5.50 m. Its length of the entire section under study is ... and with respect to the indication of the method we divide its area into ... sample units of ... .m. Of which it was evaluated ... sample units to be inspected. In its field evaluation, the visual inspection was made where different types of failures were found, such as holes, crocodile skin, detachment of the aggregate, longitudinal and transverse cracks, patches and subsidence in which its area was recorded longitudinally and transversally with the use of a wincha, a level and complements of safety cones to avoid inopportune situations. Its entire process was obtained through continuous visits for 2 hours is taking a schedule where there is less traffic like two in the afternoon. Finally, it was determined that the condition index is in a range of ... so ..
