The present investigation was carried out in the district of Otuzco, province of Otuzco, with the main objective of determining the comparative analysis of the photogrammetric survey with a DJI Phantom 4 RTK drone and a survey with a Nikon 632 total station in the geometric design of the avoidance road Km 0+000.00 and Km 3+837.26 - Otuzco, La Libertad. The thesis is non-experimental and descriptive, collecting data under the observation technique. The field work was considered from the field reconnaissance, followed by the planning of the work for each methodology, the application and use of the selected equipment and the office processing of the collected information. With the drone, the time for terrain reconnaissance was 2.9 hours, 0.4 hours for flight planning, 1 hour for the flights and 20 hours for office processing, for a total of 24.2 hours. In the case of the total station, 18.4 hours were spent in the field and 23.8 hours in the office, for a total of 48.2 hours. A total cost of 62,117.57 soles for the total station work and 123,828.16 soles for the drone work was determined. A relatively greater error was observed in the work with drone, being this more accentuated in the horizontal precision. For the case of this work, the use of the DJI Phantom 4 RTK drone is recommended because, although the cost is higher, the times are reduced by up to 57.35% with respect to the total station
