The location of our research, is located in the urbanization the Recreo apple LL, 1st stage, city of Trujillo, which has a carrying capacity of 1.76 kg / cm2 (maximum strength obtained and used in this research), the research includes the structural design of several structural steel buildings with a typical area of 630 m2, with different types of foundations according to the variable height of said buildings whose architecture is the same. The evaluation of the carrying capacity of the soil will be obtained from soil mechanics studies carried out at the research site at different depths for the subsequent analysis of the type of foundation to be used, within which only superficial foundations will be analyzed. Also, to stiffen the structure of structural steel, eccentric bends were used to comply with the maximum permissible drifts established by the Peruvian earthquake resistant standard e030. To design the superficial foundations (excluding foundation slab), the conventional rigid method was used, analyzing eccentricities in order to evaluate the existence of tensile and compressive stresses. However, for the design of the foundation slab we have resorted to the modified conventional rigid method, analyzing the slab as horizontal and vertical strips.
