Objective: To analyze the risk factors associated with febrile seizures in children from 3 months to 5 years. Methodology: Census type study; observational, analytical, retrospective, transversal; by reviewing the medical records of patients aged 3 months to 5 years with a diagnosis of febrile seizures who entered to the Pediatric Emergency Department of José Cayetano Heredia Hospital III of Piura, in the period from 2015 to 2017. Results: It was found that age <18 months (OR: 2.8 95% CI: 1,469 - 5,633 p-value = 0.002, GECA Ant. (OR: 0.491 95% CI 0.254 - 0.946 p-value: 0.034), Ant. Respiratory Infections ( OR: 2,053 95% CI 1,088 - 3,876 p-value: 0.026) Conclusion: Age under 18 months, prematurity, presence of acute gastroenteritis, presence of respiratory infections, presence of anemia as factors associated with febrile seizures.
