Determine the quality of life in patients with advanced prostate cancer undergoing hormonal therapy related to the duration of illness at the Cayetano Heredia Hospital in Piura, 2021. Materials and methods: Within the framework of this research, a non-experimental approach was chosen, carrying out a retrospective observational cohort study with a sample of 64 patients with advanced prostate cancer undergoing hormonal treatment at the Cayetano Heredia Hospital in Piura during the year. 2021. Data collection was carried out through the analysis of secondary sources, specifically using medical records. For statistical analysis, Stata software was used and the chi-square test was applied with the objective of evaluating the association between duration of the disease and quality of life. These results provide valuable information on the relationship between illness time and quality of life in patients with advanced prostate cancer. Results: The results obtained through statistical analysis revealed significant findings in the association between the duration of illness and the quality of life of patients with advanced prostate cancer undergoing hormone therapy. The chi-square test yielded a Pearson chi2(2) = 26.9397 with a significantly low p-value (Pr = 0.000), indicating a statistically significant relationship between these two variables. Detailed data demonstrate marked differences in quality of life based on the duration of illness, providing a deeper understanding of factors that may influence the well-being of these patients. Conclusions: In this observational study, a significant association was found between the duration of illness and the quality of life in patients with advanced prostate cancer undergoing hormone therapy at Cayetano Heredia Hospital in Piura in 2021
