This research work aims to develop an occupational health and safety system under Law No. 29783 to reduce occupational risks in technical support in metalworking companies in northern Peru. It begins by analyzing the work accidents that occurred between 2018 and 2020 (data provided by the company), so these accidents are increasing at a rate of 50% per year. This shows us that year after year, the occupational accident rate at Corporation Chameja S.A.C. will occur if the necessary health and safety precautions are not taken. Increase. Law No. 29783 obliges any company in any sector to implement an occupational health and safety management system, otherwise companies that do not do so will be sanctioned and must pay a large fine, according to the current ITU. As part of the first objective of this research, an initial diagnosis of the company was carried out to know the current state of safety and health of the company in the workplace, so a list of test guidelines was prepared to evaluate the compliance of a company to a large extent with Law 29783; the guidelines established by the law diagnosed the company with a 77% non-compliance, which means that the company had a significant problem due to the lack of procedures required by the applicable regulations. Assuming that the occupational health and safety system has been implemented with good results in the reduction of occupational risks, it is advisable to implement this system because it brings great benefits to the company As all deployment activities have economic costs, a proper analysis was performed to show that the cost of implementing OSH was S/.36,749.80, indicating that implementation would save S/.218,338.80 per year, including fines and accident expenses
