Introduction: High blood pressure (HTN) is a chronic non-communicable disease, characterized by persistent elevation of blood pressure. There are more and more studies about the factors that are associated with this disease with hypertriglyceridemic girdle (CHTG). Objective: To determine if CHTG is associated with arterial hypertension in those adult patients treated in the outpatient clinic of the Adult Preventive Unit of Hospital I Florencia de Mora - EsSalud of Trujillo. Materials and methods: It is a cross-sectional study. 377 patients will be included as a sample size based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. The procedure will consist of the selection of adult patients treated in the outpatient clinic of the Adult Preventive Unit of Hospital I Florencia de Mora - EsSalud of Trujillo. Results: The prevalence of patients with CHTG in patients with HTN is 68.2%. A bivariate analysis is performed, where variables with a p value <0.200 are included in the multivariate analysis. It is evident that CHTG has an adjusted prevalence risk (aPR) by age and BMI of 1.97 [95% CI of 1.58- 2.45] with a p value <0.001. Conclusions: In the present investigation we can conclude that CHTG is associated with HTN in adult patients treated in the outpatient clinic of the Adult Preventive Unit of Hospital I Florencia de Mora - EsSalud of Trujillo
