Establish Anemia in pregnant adolescents as a risk factor for low weight in neonates Materials and methods: Retrospective cases and controls 1:3, with a sample of 236 newborns from the Neonatology Area of the Regional HospitalCayetano Heredia from Piura between 2017 and 2022. Anemia was assessed with the level of Hemoglobin using a blood count. Results: It was observed that the most representative group corresponded to women between 15 and 17 years old, with a total of 148 cases, which represents 63% of the sample It was identified that 24% of the women studied had THE, while no cases of GD were found. There was no significant difference in hemoglobin (Hb) levels between neonates with LBW and those without LBW (p = 0.631). Conclusions: No association was found between anemia in pregnant adolescents and low weight in neonates at the Cayetano Heredia Regional Hospital in the period January 2017 to March 2022
