The main purpose of this research is to achieve the well-being of the population, guarantee their safety and increase the life span of their homes in situations such as: floods, water currents that impact the surfaces of the walls of their buildings (as a consequence of rainfall), causing not only their deterioration, but also serious structural damage that can lead to both the collapse of the building and damage to the facilities and electrical wiring. This scenary leads to a search for a solution whose efficiency is favorable for the builders and homeowners. In this case, a viable alternative was considered, which consisted of using an optimal waterproofing method on wall surfaces in buildings to achieve protection against rainfall. For the present work, the research design is experimental, since it evaluates the performance of the study sample through observation of the tests, for which 4 waterproofing methods were evaluated and 12 King Kong brick walls of 18 holes were prepared in order to simulate the wall surface. Initially the test was carried out with 3 walls without waterproofing exposing them to water for 60 minutes. Likewise, 4 tests were carried out that consisted of applying a waterproofing agent to the surface of every 3 walls, thus leaving the 12 walls waterproofed in order to be completely exposed to water for 60 minutes. With the data of the tests and when carrying out the calculations and recording them in statistical tables and column graphs, it was possible to determine the degree of impermeability of each of the waterproofers, resulting in: Test A (Waterproofing based on lime + salt + slime nopal + sealer), 67 ° waterproofing, test B (Lime-based waterproofing + burnt oil), 94 ° waterproofing, test C (Waterproofing SikaTop 107 Seal), 96 ° waterproofing and test D (Waterproofing Chema Seal) , 99 ° waterproof. Based on the results achieved, Chema Seal Waterproofing is proposed as the most optimal waterproofing method on wall surfaces in buildings to achieve protection against rainfall, with a waterproofing effectiveness of 99 ° and a cost of S / 45.00 soles
