ABSTRACT This research work explores the specific case of a Peruvian family business, which was acquired by a foreign corporation in 2012. Six years after this acquisition, we seek to know how there is evidence of modification in the type of organizational culture of this company, and through it, how organizational behavior has affected through the expressions of its staff. Likewise, it seeks to determine to what extent an impact is generated in the type of organizational culture of the family management company after its acquisition by the multinational corporation. The sample consisted of forty-one people currently working in the organization, who participated in this study through the OCAI survey (Cameron & Quinn, 1999) which allowed to identify in what type of organizational culture the organization was before and then, in the year 2018, the year in which the investigation took place. Additionally, two sessions of spontaneous group interviews were conducted, in which twenty-six people who currently work in the organization subject of this study participated. This tool allowed us to know the expressions of the personnel in relation to the difference that exists between the previous and the current management. As main findings, we were able to identify the type of organizational culture prevailing in the family business before and after the acquisition. In this sense, through the results of the OCAI instrument, a change in the type of culture is evident. We believe that our research, although it was not its purpose, has been able to identify that although the type of culture has been affected, the staff's evaluations, which are essentially produced by the culture achieved before the acquisition, are still in force. which generates a very strong resistance to the new style. These results corroborate that culture is not a social construction that can be affected in the short term, so that the change coming from the corporation's culture, remains uncomfortable, evidencing itself, with greater force, in the rejection of the new processes imposed in the daily work.
