The research analyzes the efficiency of the value chain of companies exporting organic quinoa from Puno to the German market. The population of the study is made up of 12 companies and it counted with the collaboration of all the people who offered their knowledge in the process of quinoa exports. To identify the main factors that generate a deficient value chain, a mixed investigation is carried out. On the one hand, qualitative with in-depth interviews. On the other hand, quantitative with surveys made up of 27 questions to 47 participants. With this, it was possible to obtain the following conclusions that must be improved in order to be competitive in the German market. First, the infrastructure, the quality of the supply of quinoa, innovation and skills to the technical and administrative staff. This is important to ensure the success of exports, achieve higher profitability in the sector and that a certified end product can be offered and recognized as organic. Second, the leadership in the costs of the companies must consider the strategies of facing the limits of the competitiveness and the strategies of marketing. Likewise, technology must be used to improve their production processes. Third, differentiate part by having a good quality of organic quinoa supply, reduce siren levels and logistic costs for export. Fourth, market segmentation has been improved. It is necessary to include innovation in products for the German market and for this, companies must constantly train their technical and administrative staff.
