The project consists of the design, on the one hand, of a Veterinary Clinic of Minor Animals of interdistrict hierarchy that is complemented by an Animal Shelter (dogs and cats). The objective of the latter is to be able to provide the rescued animals with an adequate space for their needs during the time they spend in this refuge. Also, the Clinic serves both external users and users of the Shelter. On the other hand, there is a training and dissemination area for veterinarians, veterinary students and people interested in issues related to the care and responsible tenure of pets. The project land is located in the district of Santiago de Surco. For this election, the following requirements were taken into consideration: Central area for other existing hostels, place where the people of the environment can afford to pay treatments to their pets and Closeness to the “Colegio Médico Veterinario del Perú“. For the architectural design, we chose to separate it into two volumes, this is because we want to avoid that the users of the two large areas of this project mix. Additionally, it seeks to control the noise made by the animals, without affecting the people who are in the training area. Finally, these volumes are located and designed so that a visual relationship between them is generated.
