According to statistical information from SUNEDU, the candidates for the mechatronics engineering career for Lima in 2016 were 2888, of whom 44.63% did not enter the university because of the limited number of vacancies of the respective universities, generating an unsatisfied demand. Also, the career requires a high investment in infrastructure, so it is proposed to raise as a university a recognized technological institute in northern Lima that dictates the career at a technical level, because it uses only 70% of its capacity. On the other hand, the competition is made up of 3 universities with different value propositions. After the external analysis of the sector based on PESTEL and Porter, a favorable situation was validated for the university project. Through a survey the acceptance of the university project was validated, because 28.1% would be willing to study in it, while 63.7% would probably also be willing. In addition, 82.2% consider that studying the career allows for greater and better job opportunities. The value proposal to offer will be a quality university career with infrastructure, affordable prices and prestige. A curricular network with holistic vision has been developed, an accessible price, 4 channels of approach to the applicant and the promotion based on brand positioning, communication of the value proposal and conversion of interested to applicants. The project is profitable because a NPV of S/. 295,666.54 and an IRR of 27%, which would demonstrate the viability of the project.
