Objective: This study aims to determine the correlation in the supply of energy and nutrients and the nutritional status of children and women of childbearing age (MEF) in Peru from 1992 to 2013. Materials and methods: HOBALI was used for the data of food availability and ENDES for overweight and obesity and anemia in MEF, growth retardation and anemia in MEF and children under 5 years of age; the GDP and percentage of urban population were considered as control variables. Then, graphs, linear regressions and correlations were elaborated. Results: The amount of protein and fat available with the increase of overweight and obesity and the decrease in growth retardation was significant; the ascending and descending tendencies were from 2004. The groups of foods that were associated more were the dairy and eggs and fats. There is no clear pattern with the prevalence of anemia. Discussion: The changes reflected in this study coincide with other national studies that describe a double nutritional burden. Also, it coincides with studies that present significant results of association with the consumption of dairy products and the decrease of growth retardation, and with the consumption of fats and the increase in overweight and obesity. Conclusion: There is a significant regression with the total supply of protein and fat, in the graphs trends are observed from 2004. The groups that correlate most are dairy and eggs and fats.
