The present work was born with the need to improve the process of internal supply and production in a company that makes garments, applying the six sigma methodology as an improvement tool. The work begins with a brief description of the organization, the products it offers and the operations in which it is involved. Then the DMAIC cycle is executed; Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control. In the definition phase; we identify the needs of the client and the critical requirements of the product, such as the time of supply of inputs, high percentage of waste and poor quality of products, for this the kano methodology is used. In the measurement phase, the most relevant variables of the procession of garment making are identified (quality tools such as the Gage R & R study, control charts, process capacity analysis and the Six Sigma level). In the analysis phase; the root causes that originate the problem are identified and for this we will rely on the design of experiments that contribute to improve the most important factors of the process. In the control phase; which is the last of the methodology, it is sought to maintain the results obtained in the improvement part. For this we calculate again the process capacity and the six sigma level. Finally the economic evaluation; It offers us the economic benefits achieved after the improvement phase is executed. On the other hand, in order to verify the environmental impact that the project proposes, we rely on the Leopold matrix, benefiting the company, collaborators, customer suppliers and competitors. It is important to keep in mind that when applying the Six Sigma methodology, more time must be spent in the definition phase. The consequences of not being clear about the first stage involve a redundant project or that new experiments have to be carried out to correct the experiments already carried out.
