The present research work was developed in the Province of Coronel Portillo - Ucayali - Peru, whose objective is to propose a methodology of production management in paving works for the improvement of productivity; which was based on data collection through surveys addressed to the civil engineers responsible of the work, to know if they use some production management methodologies, which were analyzed using the statistical software SPSS 22.0 and Excel; and the application of the Last Planner and Control production management methodology in the work “Mejoramiento de la Av. Miraflores Tramo 02 Cruce Jr. Venezuela hasta el Puente Tipo Alcantarilla“. Concluding that, although such engineers use some control system, the works do not finish within the expected term and they spend more than the base budget. Regarding the categories of Contributory Work (TC) and Non-Contributory Work (TNC) occupy the highest percentage of the daily work, wasting time of the Productive Work (TP). Applying the management production methodology of the Last Planner and Control, the planning and control of the execution was carried out, obtaining a quality work, in the expected term and with the lowest cost. This is reflected in the measurement of the general level of activities, having for TP 32%, TC 40% and TNC 28% situations in which we observe that the application of an adequate management of the production provides satisfactory results that with the continuous improvement will be the optimal.
