The present research work is based on the problems that the maintenance area of a liquid fuels trading company has been facing, which has been accumulating administrative work due to the increase of processes in the area and the deficient management model that has been used. This has also led to the omission of supervision of field work carried out by suppliers in the area who have a current contract. In this situation, it is also not managing the lifting of observations found in the preventive evaluations that are made to the sales establishments (Service Stations), because the administrative work load has exceeded the installed capacity of the area, which only counts with four supervisors and this has generated that the company is harmed with fines and closing of its premises by inspection of state entities that ensure compliance with the regulations. The situation is compromising because it is estimated that more than $200,000 has been lost annually for just these two concepts, and although the extension of the structure of the area was requested at the time, this was denied from the central offices, so seeks the use of tools studied to reverse the situation. It is there where through the study and analysis of methodologies supported by articles and accredited publications, we seek to present an improvement proposal for the described scenario.
