The Huanca Cultural Center is a project located in the city of Huancayo, in the province of Junín, on the land that is currently the old Municipality Coliseum, adjacent to the Plaza Huamanmarca. A Cultural Center is proposed to help preserve the local cultural identity, especially among the youngest ones; a place where cultural services and activities of creation, training and diffusion are developed in different areas of Huanca culture. As an architectural emphasis, the use of “intermediate spaces“ is proposed, which fulfills the double function of an integrating element: firstly, among the users and the different spaces and functions that are developed within the complex; and in second place - no less important - between the visitors of the Cultural Center and the same inhabitants of the city of Huancayo. With a large main sunken plaza that will connect the project with the civic plaza of the city and secondary plaza that connects it with secondary streets.
