The main objective of this study was to identify the relationship between self-determination theory, seen from the satisfaction and frustration of the basic psychological needs, and the subject psychological well-being of real states agents in Lima. The study consisted of 100 adults; between ages 30 to 60 years old. Participants were assessed with the Basic Psychological Needs Scale (Chen et al, 2012) and the Subscale of Subjective Well Being of Sanchez-Cánovas, adapted by Salas (2010). The results revealed that the satisfaction of the three psychological needs has a positive and significant correlation with the subjective well- being (r=.624, <.01); whereas between the frustration scale of the three BPB and the subjective well-being scale, a significant and negative correlation was found. (r =- .43, <.01).
