Objective: To explore the main factors that may influence the increase in beer consumption in the segment of economically active adults aged 25 to 44 who drink beer and belong socioeconomic levels A and B who live in Lima Modern. Method: Qualitative study. Sampling Mixed, which included a sample of experts and a sample oriented to qualitative - homogeneous research where the participants share the same characteristics, such as living in modern Lima and belonging to the NSE “A“ or “B“. The qualitative research design of the grounded theory was chosen, using data collection instruments: interviews and focus groups. Results: In terms of accessibility to purchase the product, the participants in the focus groups indicated that some brands of craft beers are found in supermarkets, bars and restaurants. However, not always found the beer of their choice. As for Line Extension applied by the producers, the participants indicated that they know that the craft beer offers different “flavors“, although, they don't remember brands and styles. Conclusions: In terms of accessibility, it was found that for the participants, the presence of the product in more points of sale is relevant, since it can help to increase the consumption. Despite the extension of line that makes beer brands, participants are not remember with certainty the brands consumed, much less the style of beer to which they belong.
