Objectives: To determine the factors associated with the level of user satisfaction of different outpatient health facilities Peru during 2014. Material and methods: Descriptive and observational study of secondary analysis of the "National User Satisfaction Survey of Universal Health Insurance" (2014) in Peru. The data was obtained from 13670 users who participated in the survey in previously selected outpatient health facilities. Results: The global satisfaction was 69,4%. Being elderly diminish in 12% the probability of non-satisfaction between users (p<0.05 RP: 0.88 IC: 0.81-0.95). To belong to the richest quintile and being user of private clinics, decreases the probability of probability of non-satisfaction 23% (p<0.05, RP: 0.77 IC: 0.71-0.84); nevertheless, speaking another language than Spanish increases in 12% the probability of non-satisfaction (RP: 1.12, IC: 1.02–1.24), being user of Social Security (EsSalud) in 28% (RP: 1.28 IC: 1.20-1.36), having no insurance in 18% (RP:1.18, IC:1.09-1.28) and perceiving a waiting time as prolonged increases in 86% the probability of non-satisfaction between outpatient. Conclusions: The highest level of satisfaction were found in private clinic outpatients with 88,2%, while the highest level of non-satisfaction were found in users of EsSalud with 10.4%. We suggest to shorten the waiting time and optimize the doctor-patient relationship in order to improve health quality standards.
