The export of agricultural products has become one of Peru's highest economic income and one of the main engines of the economy. In 2019, exports accounted for 21% of Peru's gross domestic product (GDP)(Dominguez Sonia,2019). In the export sector, agricultural exports performed outstandingly: export growth rose from US$1.338 billion in 2005 to US$7.5 billion in 2019. Such growth shows the importance of agricultural exports to the Peruvian economy, so Peru seeks new business strategies to increase and expand agricultural trade. Over the years, China and Peru have maintained good business relations. Since the signing of the China-Peru Free Trade Agreement, China has become Peru's main trading partner and main target market. The purpose of this article is to study whether the China-Peru Free Trade Agreement has a beneficial impact on Peru’s agricultural exports. In order to conduct this research, it is necessary to analyze the situation before and after the signing of the China-Peru Free Trade Agreement. This study is divided into two phases, namely the nine years before and after 2010.
