The study was conducted in the community of Llanchama, located on the right bank of the Nanay River by land on the road to Zúngaro Cocha, 45 minutes from the city of Iquitos in order to identify the timber and non-timber products that are used in the construction of rural housing. The research was exploratory, descriptive and evaluative and design belongs to a descriptive research; a static assessment, applied in a given time, without introducing any element that varies the behavior of the variables in the study. A sample was taken for convenience of 30% of the total population of the community with a representative sample of 20 polls. It is concluded that 80% of respondents in the hamlet Llanchama prefer the round wood in the manufacture of the structural components of your home. The species to horcones most commonly used are the porotillo, quinilla, cinnamon mohena, huacapu, black and zancudo mohena caspi for beams and slabs used oil caspi, mohena and rifari, these species being used for its durability and easy handling. The predominant housing type, is the floor of soil tamped with a 55% and 45% with wood floor. The roof of the houses is built in irapay sheet 75% and 25% with calamine. 75% of people get around wood in the surrounding forests, so the hypothesis is confirmed: the materials used in the construction of rural housing are timber and non-timber species that are found near the community in study.
