The present engineering research studies the Pavement Condition Index (PCI) and the Present Serviceability Index (PSI) of the Regional Road CU – 123 Mayubamba – Rondocan of 18.26 km. This road was designed for ten years and was intervened with a non-conventional pavement of the Slurry Seal kind. This road presents heavy wear and tear, and it does not bring comfort and correct traffic flow to users because of the inadequate design and the lack of maintenance. Despite having a short time of usage (two years and a half),an evaluation from Slurry Seal using PSI with the World Bank and AASHTO methods, showed a very bad score of 0.74 and 0.37 in a scale of 1 to 5. The use of PCI showed a score of bad of 30 in a scale of 1 to 100. The data obtained with PSI, PCI and pavement project helped to redesign the pavement structure using the AASHTO method. A thickness of 8” and a CBR of 25% were obtain for the structure (road surface + stabilized base). These results differ from the constructed road, where the pavement structure has a thickness of 6” and a CBR of 11%.
