In hydroelectric power plants with more than one generation group operating at partial loads, the maximum efficiency of each group and the combination of these different design performance core set, situations that occur in dry season and in power reduction by oversupply of hydropower within a national grid. The dry season (low flows) in Peru nine months per year is reached, situation that generates economic losses due to random flow adjustment each turbine-group loads under rated conditions. The thesis main aim is to develop an altemative methodology for optimizing the efficiency and power of generating a multi Central Hydroelectric group for any level of power generated in the daily interconnected generation program. As a result maximizing efficiency and turbine-group combination for each output of the plant beyond its nominal conditions are obtained; also a computer program in Matlab which feeds the automated system of the plant was built. lts application is possible to reduce generation costs and plant availability, in tum forms a methodological pattem for other hydroelectric plants of various groups.
