The research sought to develop a methodology to select storage and transport (pelletized) formulas for spores with entomopathogenic fungi. 4 objectives were raised. 1) Characterize the strain of the fungus (Beauveria bassiana) and carry out a susceptibility test, 2) Preselect 9 pelleting formulas capable of dissolving in water (wettability) in 30 seconds, 3) Determine the conditions of the pellet at the time of formulation and after two months of storage by quality control, 4) Determine the virulence of the pellet at the time of preparation and after 2 months by bioassays. The technology must be accessible and cheap, so we worked with local inputs (Bentonite, kaolinite, diatom, Chinese talcum), to maintain the shape of the pellet (cement) was used cornstarch. Additionally citric acid was included to extend the viability of spores (synergist) and egg albumin as a conidial sunscreen. For the experimental analysis, a completely random design with a factorial arrangement was used (Kuehl 2001). Based on the concentration and viability of the spores after 2 months, the best formulation material was Talc chino, followed by Diatomea soil. The acidity was not considered for this study, however it was notorious the decrease in conidial survival when acidifying the medium. At the same time that the validity of the methodologies was verified, a work scheme was proposed starting from the creation of a bank of strains to the formulation of a commercial biopesticide and its respective registry.
