This methodological investigation has allowed to design a new instruction program for the air defense officer during the last year of cadet, which considers subjects that contribute to the operational activity that the institution and country demands for defense and development though the following workflow. We compiled information about the current instruction program for the air defense officer and made the comparison with instruction programs from other military schools. We established the special features that the air defense officer´s professional profile must have considering necessary skills and qualities. We analyzed air defense personnel´s opinions and 79% of officers surveyed considered that it´s necessary the generation of a new instruction program in order to immediately introduce the future air defense officer to the operational area as required by the air force. In this context, the cadet from the air defense specialty would share, during the educational program, eight grades or semesters with students from other specialties in operational areas; in other words, from aspiring to third-year cadet. When passing to the fourth year, cadets would study a semester (ninth grade) acquiring appropriate knowledge for the air defense specialty and one last semester (tenth grade) studying and practicing with air defense arm systems.
