Conducción del arándano (Vaccinium corymbosum) durante el primer año de transplantado en Jayanca-Lambayeque

Abstract

El arándano es uno de los cultivos de más creciente interés en el mundo. La demanda de fruta por el mercado internacional y los buenos retornos, han hecho que los productores peruanos se interesen cada vez más en el cultivo. Este crecimiento ha sido sostenido en los últimos años, lo que nos ha llevado a convertirnos en el primer exportador de arándanos en el mundo desplazando a Chile quien lideró este ranking por mucho tiempo. Con este rápido crecimiento que se ha experimentado, los productores han tenido que afinar las metodologías y procesos que se requieren para implementar un campo en suelo, que es justamente en donde más ha crecido Perú. El objetivo de este trabajo es justamente recopilar estas metodologías y plasmarlas para que sean una guía a los nuevos productores de la serie de procesos y consideraciones que hay que tener en cuenta al momento de tomar la decisión de instalar un campo. Estas consideraciones pasan por conocer las características de la zona (suelo, clima, agua) y las adecuaciones que se requieren efectuar para que estas se alineen a los requerimientos del cultivo (pH, CE, etc.) La elección de la variedad a plantar es crítica y debe darse en función varios factores como el mercado de destino, rendimientos, curvas de producción, Royalties, susceptibilidad a plagas y enfermedades, características de la fruta, etc. Finalmente, la preparación del terreno es pieza clave del éxito del proyecto, ya que una mala preparación o un paso del proceso que obviemos va a repercutir directamente en el desarrollo de la planta y por ende en su producción.

With this rapid growth that has been experienced, producers have had to refine the methodologies and processes required to implement a field in soil, which is precisely where Peru has grown the most. The objective of this work is precisely to compile these methodologies and translate them so that they are a guide for new producers of the series of processes and considerations that must be taken when making the decision to install a field. These considerations involve knowing the characteristics of the area (soil, climate, water) and the adjustments that need to be made so that these are aligned with the requirements of the crop (pH, EC, etc.) The choice of the variety to plant is critical and must be based on several factors such as the destination market, yields, production curves, Royalties, susceptibility to pests and diseases, characteristics of the fruit, etc. Finally, the preparation of the land is a key part of the success of the project since poor preparation or a step in the process that we ignore will have a direct impact on the establishment of the plant and therefore on its production.
