The melting of glaciers in the Alto-Santa basin is an important contribution of fresh water, as for human consumption, agricultural sector, hydroelectric and industrial projects, that is why the importance of evaluating the dynamics of snow cover through the use of processing of satellite images of the MODIS sensor with daily and eight daily spatial resolution and, through the use and application of the platform Google Earth Engine (GEE), platform for the scientific analysis of petabyte-scale spatial data or also called processing cloud data, plus the use of the model Snowmelt Runoff Model SRM, very useful tool to estimate the contribution of water volume in m³ from rain and snow melt on a daily basis, the area under study has 5334 km², more than 6500 MODIS images were processed, the model was applied between the altitudes from 1410 m asl., up to 6766 m asl., dividing into 06 different zones of different intervals, satellite images of the type (MOD10A1 and MDO10A2) were used to obtain the area of snow coverage on a daily basis, and every eight days the algorithm of NDSI (normalised difference snow index), and at the same time use the (SCA) in the SRM model, and obtain daily flow results from rain and snow melt, the model was calibrated for the years 2005 and 2006 and later were validated for the years 2007 and 2008, with efficient results of 0.77, 0.89, 0.84 and 0.91 of Nash-Sutcliffe coefficient of determination, at the same time they were applied to climate change scenarios proposed by the fifth report of the IPCC, 2013 for the years 2030, 2050 and 2080, with the scenarios of RCP 4.5 and RCP 8.5, using the method of (downscaling).
