This research entitled “Economic and business factors affecting the Hass (Persea americana) avocado to Optimize Export Market United States“ was held in the department of Lima and Ica, during the period from 2001 to 2011. The purpose the research was the analysis exportable supply, market characteristics of the United States and the competitiveness of international trade compared with Mexico and Chile also analyzed. To do so, the factors that determine the competitiveness of export supply in the productive chain of the Hass avocado were analyzed using the evaluation value generation process, value chain and Porter's five forces. For analysis of the market in the United States it took into account the geographic, psychographic and behavioral characteristics of the market, plus the requirements for export to USA was evaluated. The method used revealed comparative advantage relative to the level of competitiveness of Peru in international trade compared with Mexico and Chile. Exportable supply in Peru at (2014) is US $ 298 million of that product, representing an increase of 67.5% over the same period last year (US $ 178 million), ranking second in world exports moving to Chile. The characteristics of the US market are a function of population growth, socioeconomic status and lifestyle; which it is influenced by the growing concern of health care consuming fresh produce. For the analysis of trade competitiveness levels took into account three countries Peru, Mexico and Chile relating to export Hass avocado worldwide whose results are: VCE> 0, VCI <0; VCR> 0 and VCRs> 0 for all three countries. Based on the data shown above Peru shows the greatest comparative advantage compared to Mexico and Chile, thus competitiveness levels are higher in the international banana trade. With regard to integration in the international market Peru shows an average annual growth rate of 25.0% and 4.1% efficiency surpassing Mexico and Chile. Besides exporting avocados Peru meets the quality standards with respect to the dry matter content is 22%. On the other hand we should note that Peru has created the Peruvian Avocado Commission, to promote bilateral basis Hass avocado consumption in the North Country.
