The overexploitation of Aniba rosaeodora through the felling of trees to extract the essential oil, has generated the decrease of its natural populations; It is found in Appendix II of CITES, categorized in Peru as Vulnerable (VU), currently it is used only for plantations; however, the cost of its essential oil is increasing, although its commercialization is scarce. In the establishment of plantations, there are difficulties in the supply of seeds and natural regeneration, due to low production and the attack of various birds and insects during the seed dissemination season; Therefore, new regeneration strategies are urgently needed to help recover this species. Therefore, this research had as objectives: i) to identify and describe the species commonly known as rosewood in its place of origin Puerto Bermúdez, ii) to evaluate the initial taking of Aniba rosaeodora plantations, and iii) to evaluate the influence of three types of juvenile cuttings and doses of AIB in the rooting of Aniba rosaeodora, by means of vegetative propagation in a sub-irrigation chamber. The main results obtained indicate that the species commonly known as rosewood from the Native Communities of the district of Puerto Bermúdez - Oxapampa (Pasco), corresponds to Aniba muca (R. & P.) Mez; the open field planting and bare root of Aniba rosaeodora from Tamshiyacu (Loreto) in the communities of Puerto Bermúdez, showed a survival of 93.96 percent, and finally the tests in sub-irrigation chambers carried out in the forest nursery of the IIAP - Ucayali , allow us to affirm that with doses of 4000 and 2000 ppm of AIB, 100 percent survival of average and apical cuttings was achieved, respectively; 94.44 percent callosity with 4000 ppm AIB and medium cutting, as well as 0.43 mm average maximum shoot length without AIB (0 ppm) and 44.44 percent rooting with doses of 4000 ppm AIB and basal cuttings at 64 days.
