This study was developed at the initiative of the company Consultores Asociados en Naturaleza y Desarrollo (CANDES) and its purpose was to collaborate in strengthening the management of the Natural Protected Areas (NPA) of Peru through the development of the biological baseline. The project sought to characterize the Riparian Forests, Tillandsiales and Coastal Hills located within the San Fernando National Reserve, this study was developed during the dry season between the months of June and July 2016. The field work began with the installation of the three flying camps, after which the site was surveyed and the information was collected according to the methodology defined for each type of vegetation formation, In the case of the riparian and tillandsial forests, 10 transects of 50 m by 2 m wide and 10 transects of type L of 50 m of side respectively were made, for the coastal hills, 10 square plots of 2 m of side were delimited, after that, in the cabinet stage, the botanical samples were identified and the information was systematized and analyzed. As a result, a total of 15 species of dominant plants in the vegetation formations were determined; 9 species of woody plants were found in the riparian forests; 6 species in the coastal hills and 2 species in the case of tillandsiales. The information obtained was handed over to the Head of the area in order to be used later for the planning and management of the NPAs by the State.
