The production and export of the avocado crop, variety Hass, has grown exponentially during the last years in Peru, however, a high incidence of symptoms such as regressive death has been observed, cankers on plant branches and fruit rots affect optimal crop production and fruit quality. These symptoms are mainly generated by the fungus Lasiodiplodia theobromae, whose control is limited to a few active ingredients that tend to generate resistance of the pathogen. In the present study, the main objective was to evaluate the resistance-inducing effect on the control of L. theobromae in avocado (Persea americana) variety Hass. In the laboratory, through the poisoning test and the challenge test, it was determined that the Vacun Qpro, Barrera and Timorex Gold treatments were effective in controlling L. theobromae, with 100% inhibition of the mycelial growth of the pathogen. Under nursery conditions, through the variables: advance length of the disease lesion, percentage of dry matter of the roots and leaves, and root length of the treatments. It was observed that the treatments with the exception of treatment T1 (Control) reduced the length of advancement of the lesion infected by L. theobromae inside the stem. Treatment T6 (T.22) resulted in a higher percentage of root dry matter (46.52%) compared to the control treatment (41.21%). On the other hand, there is no significant evidence to affirm real differences between the treatments evaluated in the percentage of dry matter of leaves. Additionally, it was observed that in real values treatment T2 (ProtecSea) reported a root length of 56.80 cm.
