The use of remote sensing techniques by means of the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) for the estimation of the evapotranspiration of olive cultivation (Olea europaea L.) in the coast of Peru, have been discussed in the present study. The objective of the experiment was to estimate the evapotranspiration of the olive cultivation by means of the METRIC model, from the use of multispectral images and thermal images mounted on a multirotor UAV, which were calibrated in the field by using a portable spectroradiometer and radiometer respectively. as well as the calibration of the NDVI and IAF vegetation indices, based on information from a Green Seeker and ceptometer, for a plantation density of 200 olive trees has-1. Median values in ETc of 2,868 to 2,942 mm d-1 and 4,021 to 4.533 mm d-1 were obtained in winter (flowering) and summer (maturation) respectively, there being no significant difference between olive varieties; and median ETrF values of 1 to 1.23 slightly higher in winter, due to daily irrigation management throughout the year, to avoid abiotic stresses generated by water and soil salts
