The objective of the research was to estimate the benefits, opportunity costs and identify the decision criteria of quinoa producers in individual and collective agricultural systems to provide in situ conservation services of the plant genetic resources of quinoa and its wild relatives on farms in the Department of Puno. The Andean highlands is a microgenocenter of numerous native varieties of quinoa, characterized by the agrobiodiversity management system in collective systems (aynokas and laymes). However, the pressure of the national and international market at a national and international level has led to the replacement of native varieties by more productive commercial varieties. At the same time, the homogeneous expansion of quinoa production has moved to the individualization of agricultural farms, posing a threat to agrobiodiversity and human capital in the management of quinoa’s plant genetic resources. 315 surveys were applied to quinoa producers in nine provinces of Puno, in addition, an Expert Opinion on in situ conservation of quinoa was carried out. The decision criteria were identified in depth using the Fuzzy Hierarchical Analytical Process method. While the willingness to participate (WTPa) and the private benefits that reflect the willingness to accept (WTA) a minimum payment for the provision of the conservation service in the Agrobiodiversity Conservation Service Program (ACSA) was acquired by the Contingent Valuation Method. by public tender and was analyzed using the Multinomial Logistic Regression Method. The Economic Opportunity Cost (EOC) for cultivating native varieties was estimated through price flows. As a result, the individual and collective systems attribute similar weights to the criteria, but there are differences in weight in the sub-criteria for the choice of native varieties. The WTPa of the collective system is greater than that of the individual system, the WTA that they revealed is a differentiated compensation between S/1,700.00 (USD 464.48), S/3,801.00 (USD 1,038.53), and S/4,501/ha/year (USD 1,229.78). The EOC from being negative becomes positive with any value of WTA, being higher in collective systems.
