The objective in this research, have to evaluate the effect of two sources of organic calcium carbonate (scallop: abanico and navaja) and inorganic (limestone) to the productive performance of broilers. Weight, feed intake, feed/gain ratio and economic rewards o food, in terms of the parameters were determined in the warm dry matter, ash and calcium, was the criteria adopted. The birds were divided into experimental units according to the completely randomized design (CRD), in five treatments with four replicates each were used, each replicate consisted of eight chickens. Duncan statistical test was used to find differences between the mean values of production parameters. The five treatments were as follows: 100% limestone, the mixture of limestone and abanico scallop (50% w / u), the mixture of limestone and navaja scallop ( 50% w / u) and both organic ingredients. At 42 days no significant differences for any of the parameters evaluated were found. However, improvements in performance numerically, broilers were observed using navaja scallop, partial and/or total.
