The objective of the research was to determine the training needs of the unemployed population with work experience in Lima Metropolitana that can be addressed through Internet, as a mechanism to accelerate their outplacement. This is a descriptive investigation with a non-experimental cross-sectional design since data was obtained through a single measurement. The instruments and techniques included documentary analysis on education, unemployment and ICT utilization topics from national and international sources. Also, they included surveys to 400 unemployed people in Lima Metropolitana and interviews with experts in training and education for outplacement. Data processing determined that 88 percent of the unemployed population with work experience in Lima Metropolitana was interested in online training. Likewise, the interest in specific courses has been identified according to the expected way of outplacement. People interested in running their own business (outplacement as entrepreneur), demanded New company business plan and Sales Techniques courses and people interested in being hired by companies (outplacement as employee), demanded Leadership and Communication Techniques and Occupational Health and Safety courses. Preferred courses were determined for both groups according to different criteria, such as sex, age range, education level and preferred Internet access modality.
