Quinoa (Chenopodium quinoa Willd) is a species native to the Andean Region and is recognized for its wide adaptation to diverse environments due to its great genetic variation. The objective of the present work was to evaluate the morphological, physiological and quality diversity of 402 accessions of quinoa from the Germplasm Bank of the Agrarian University La Molina. The characterization of the accessions was carried out using the descriptors of quinoa and wild relatives of Bioversity International, evaluating 15 variables qualitative and six quantitative in the conditions of La Molina (central coast). The information collected was processed using multivariate analysis, considering the main components (ACP) and cluster for similarity. The analysis of main components allowed to reduce the series of variables of the data matrix to nine main components that explained 70.35% of the total variance; the variables that contributed the most in the formation of the nine main components were (from highest to lowest contribution): number of teeth, response to mildew disease, stem striae color, plant height, density of panicle, shape of stem leaf, weight of 1000 grains, panicle shape, percentage of saponin, weight per panicle, color of episperm, presence of branching, color of stem, color of armpits, color of petiole, color of panicle in flowering, color of leaf blade, percentage of proteins , color of pericarp. The cluster analysis formed three different groups based on the characteristics evaluated. Among all de accessions 94 were selected by better agronomic performance and quality characteristics.
