A trial was conducted in Chicama valley to determine the macronutrients extraction by “escabeche” pepper (Capsicum baccatum var. pendulum) plants from transplanting to harvest. Eleven plant samples were taken during the whole crop period. Samples were taken every 15 days. Highest N concentration was observed 75-120 days after transplanting (DAT). For P was between 60-75 DAT, for K 30 DAT and between 150 -165 DAT, for Mg between 15 and 30 DAT, for Ca between 15 and 75 DAT and for S between 135 and 165 DAT. Average extraction of macronutrients was 265.7 kg/ha of N; 25.8 kg/ha of P; 461.55 kg/ha of K; 43.45 kg/ha of Mg; 135.25 kg/ha of Ca and 31.35 of S. Average yield was 17.86 T/ha of fresh fruits.
