The objective of this research is to analyze the fulfillment of the conditions proposed by NOAA so that the results are applied as a public policy, specifically in the economic valuation of biodiversity of the Protected Natural Area (PNA) PNM. The conditions are: rationality (absence of insensitivity to scope, which is equivalent to presenting a greater WTP when there is a greater quantity and/or quality of a good) and plausibility (the elasticity of the WTP is between 0.2 and 1.0). From 1,501 respondents (6,004 observations) in a virtual format from Metropolitan Lima, using a choice experiment, it was obtained that the number of threatened animal species and functionality are the attributes that fulfill both conditions, from the base levels; being functionality the attribute with the best results. However, when evaluating the intermediate levels, insensitivity to scope and embedding effect appears.
