This research consisted in assessing the conditions salinity and sodicity of soil of the Public Golf Course, located in the district of San Bartolo, Lima, for recovery purposes and later implement the cultivation of turfgrass in this sports area. This work was developed in three stages, a field phase where the area was recognized, took soil samples and performed tests washing and permeability, a laboratory phase where soil was characterized, pH, electrical conductivity, soluble ions and interchangeable cations were determined, lastly, a cabinet phase, where the data were processed, elaborated salinity profiles, profiles and the leaching curves and isoconductivity maps. According to the results obtained the salt content in this zone is very high, since approximately 80 percent of the field has levels higher than 50 dS/m classifying it as extremely saline, while the remaining area has lower salinity levels of up to 8.08 dS/m. With respect to sodicity, the calculated values of PSI less than 15 percent indicate that there is not danger of this type, on the other hand, the estimated SAR for the pits C-1 and C-2 are equal 23.6 and 35.5 indicates that there is a low and moderate risk of sodicity, respectively, in the case of the pit C-3 the value obtained is 215.2 and is considered as strongly sodium. Finally, it was determined that the soil has moderate permeability, due to the fact that it presents very compacted layers, which makes difficult its recovery through the direct leaching process, reflected in the results of the tests carried out, that is why it was recommended decompress the ground previously in order to favor washing, in addition of opt for the variety Paspalumvaginatum to implement the golf course.
