To determine the vertical distribution of bats in agricultural production systems, four plots were evaluated in the third section of the Madre de Dios Inter-Oceanic South high way: two were agroforestry systems, and two traditional production systems plots. Sampling was done in the arboreal strata (> 6 m), sub arboreal strata (between 2.5 and 4 m) and shrubs (< 2.5 m). In the four plots bats were collected over a period of 30 days, with a mist net in each stratum. To normalize the data relative abundance of the species found in each plot stratum was calculated and evaluated. The total catch effort was 544320 m2RH. Were captured 270 individuals of bats belonging to 19 species. Relative abundance by species, production system and evaluated stratum was calculated. The nonparametric Kruskan Wallis test revealed that there is significant difference between the relative abundances of bats in the arboreal layer with an asymptotic significance of 0.004. Comparisons to other strata did not show significant differences in their distribution.
