This work is based on professional experience, in which the objective of managing occupational risks in the provincial municipality of Huamanga was pursued, due to the scenario caused by the situation of the Covid-19 pandemic. This monographic and descriptive work exposes work experience integrating management tools, such as the Deming cycle method, known as PHVA (Plan-Do-Verify-Act) and the SOBANE strategy for identification, Evaluation and control of occupational risks in the area of human resources, assuming the positions of administrative assistant and responsible for the area of social welfare. It begins with the reconstruction of the situational diagnosis of its occupational safety and health management system, considering the existence of unregistered work accidents and the actions previously carried out in 2020; as a result, the occupational safety and health management system is found to be deficient, however, after implementing specific measures, satisfactory results are achieved in complying with the requirements and regulations established by the Peruvian government regarding the management of an occupational safety and health system for the benefit of municipal workers, specifically municipal workers, and of the entity. It’s stated that, by 2022, an increase was achieved in compliance with the guidelines related to commitment and involvement (50% of the established indicators were achieved), occupational safety and health policy (50% were achieved), planning and implementation (47.06% was achieved), implementation and operation (54.17% were achieved), policy evaluation (44.44% were achieved), verification (54.17% were achieved), and control of information and documents (36.36% were achieved). In addition, the goals set by the human resources unit regarding the management of occupational risks for employees are achieved by 2022.
