The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of administration during the first after weaning week of the commercial additive based on nucleotides, essential fatty acids, vitamins, minerals and amino acids on the performance and economic profitability of weaned piglets at the rearing stage. 129 weaned piglets were used from a maternal crossing, 21 days old and with an average live weight of 6,755 ± 0.119 SEM, which were distributed randomly in three treatments (43 piglets per treatment). The treatments were: T1, control product based on vitamins and amino acids administered in drinking water; T2, Vetonic® administered in drinking water and T3, Vetonic® individually administered. The evaluations of performance were measured at 15, 30 and 45 days after weaning. Live weight, daily weight gain and daily feed intake did not show significant statistical differences (P> 0.05) for the three treatments in all evaluation periods. Treatment 2 showed a better feed conversion ratio (P <0.05) only in the first evaluation period compared to the other treatments. It is concluded that the administration in drinking water of the commercial product Vetonic® to weaned piglets did not improve the performance in all the periods evaluated except for the feedd conversion ratio in the first period evaluated and had a slight superiority in economic profitability compared to the others treatments.
